Chew Chew Festival
June 30, 2008
Tilley’s Cafe participated in the 23rd Annual Green Mountain Chew Chew Festival this past weekend. It was our first time participating and we had a great time! Seeing new faces and familiar ones as well, we sold three sample items from our menu; Crab cakes, Thai Spring rolls, and Mango and Pineapple Gazpacho. The crab cakes were a hit as they were 90% land lump crab meat, so you get the best taste! Our samples were made the mornings before the Chew Chew festival to ensure our costumers the freshest tastes of Tilley’s Cafe. We handed out coupons for 10% off along with a copy of our dinner menu in French and English. Tilley, the mascot of Tilley’s Cafe, was also seen on the Chew Chew grounds on Friday evening. Tilley is the restaurant owner’s Golden Retriever and she handed out dog-bone shapped sugar cookies made by Klinger’s Bakery.
We hope you made it down to the Chew Chew to visit our booth and enjoyed our samples. If you did not make it please come visit us at the bottom of Church St in Burlington. We are located just below Main St near Manhatten Pizza at 161 Church St, where Coyote’s Cafe used to be.
We look forward to seeing you!
